Wisdom Teeth, Running Bruise!

Today was my first day back to running after having my wisdom teeth forcefully ripped out and a week of drugs and little-to-no food. It hurt a lot. My chest and lungs were not happy about it, but the smell of the air felt like home. It was very refreshing after and I can’t wait to go back out tomorrow. Luckily, my ankles weren't real bad to new. I need to remember to stretch them every single day no matter what! Each day that passes makes my Achilles tighter. I can’t afford to let them get as bad as they did.

For those who don’t know, my biggest running constraint right now is tight ankles. It is chronic and painful, but can be fixed with a lot of stretching and physical therapy. I have to stretch them fully 2-3 times a day, do at least 15 calf raises and declines, and roll them at least once.

Well, no use in staying up too late. It’s time to get to bed because tomorrow is another run.

Comment about a time when you had a chronic pain or injury that you had to treat like a baby until it was better!
